Project settings let you control how your knowledge base portal looks to readers and who can access it. Settings are divided into two areas: General Settings (access control, site name, logo, favicon) and Color Theme (the visual branding of the portal).
Who can use this?
Admin users and only.
General settings
Go to Projects > Settings.
Access type
Controls who can read your public portal:
| Option | What it means |
| Public | Anyone can browse the portal without any authentication. |
| Private | Only readers who are pre-authorized can access the portal. They must verify their email with a one-time code to enter. |

Site name
An optional name displayed in the browser tab and on the portal header. If left blank, the project name is used instead.
Logo
Upload a logo image to brand your public portal. After uploading:
- The logo appears in the portal header.
- Use the Logo Size slider to adjust how large the logo displays (as a percentage of the maximum display size).
Supported file types: common image formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG).
Favicon
Upload a small icon that appears in the browser tab when readers open your portal. Recommended size: 32×32 or 16×16 pixels.
How to save general settings
1. Navigate to Projects > Settings.
2. Update the fields you want to change.
3. Click Save Settings.
4. A confirmation message appears: "Project settings saved successfully."
Color theme
Go to Projects > Colors.
You can set two colors for your portal's visual identity:
Theme Color: The primary accent color used for buttons, links, and highlights throughout the portal.
Header Color: The background color of the portal header/navigation bar.
Both colors are selected using a color picker. The default color is `#f59e0b` (amber) for both.
How to save the color theme
1. Navigate to Projects > Colors.
2. Use the color pickers to select your preferred colors.
3. Click Save.
4. A confirmation message appears: "Settings saved successfully."
Limits and constraints
Only one logo and one favicon can be active at a time. Uploading a new file replaces the existing one.
Logo size is expressed as a percentage (default: 15%). The system converts this to a pixel height based on a 200px reference.
Color values must be valid hex color codes (e.g., `#4a6cf7`).
